Precision Machining: A Machining Process
Precision Machining
Precision machining is typically a term that refers to a part manufactured by use of a machining process to near exacting specifications. Companies which offer precision machining services are suggesting that they have the ability to hold very tight tolerances so that each part made will vary minimally from the customer’s standards. For example, precision machining from one customer’s point of view may be +/- 0.001inches while another may consider +/- 0.005 within the realm of “precision.”
